All-Star Western #9 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, Moritat Patrick and Scherberger. W00t for the minimalist monochromatic thingy, it’s cool. Too bad the knives in her hand are less detailed then the ones she throws.

Incredible Iron Man #515 by Matt Fraction and Salvador Larroca. Cover By Greg Horn. Real-life references in comic book covers are rare, So it’s always fun when you see a good one. This is the Avengers’ variant of the comic, that’s why the others are also pictured. Nice sunset & thanks for putting no lens flare.
Secret Avengers #30 by RICK REMENDER and MATTEO SCALERA. Cover by ARTHUR ADAMS. A good ol’ Pulp-art-like© cover! Everything’s goin’ everywhere! Yepee!! Nonetheless, the high detail level isn’t obstructing the view, thanks to the well-done colors and the composition.
Xenoholics #4 by Joshua Williamson and Seth Damoose. Cover art by Dan Duncan.Hee hee. A funny cover. That’s sweet! It clearly tells what the comic’s gonna be about. The colors work allright, and I dig the faded out crazy alien-head in the back. Maybe the banner is a tad too much atomic.
The Massive #3 by Brian Wood and Kristian Donaldson. Cover by Rafael Grampa. The colors are super sweet and I definitely “feel the fall”© .There’s a good sense of heights and your eye directly gets to the dude there.
DARK TOWER: THE GUNSLINGER – THE MAN IN BLACK 2. Cover by Alex Maleev. Seriously. This is insane. So effin’ moody. I’m usually not a big fan of photorealism because it lacks a certain energy b…b..bbut THIS…
Before Watchmen: RORSCHACH byBrian AzzarelloandLee Bermejo.Aldo I won’t buy these comics (Alan Moore is against ‘em) I must say this cover is cool. Nice idea, I don’t know if it’ve been done Before (Watchmen). To be really pointy I don’t know if the mask is precise enough to reproduce patterns like this, but hell this is a metageek question.
Kick Ass 2 # 5 Brian Hitch variant
This cover is really awesome cause Brian Hitch did it for fun. (according to mark millar) He wasn’t comissionned for it! Sheer epicness on his behalf. The cover itself is groovy and the posture is ultra-dynamic©. Colors are awesome too, and now I just want to reread the book.
B.P.R.D. Hell on earth: The devil’s engine #1 by Mike Mignola, John Acurdi, Tyler Crook and Dave stewart. Cover By Duncan fegredo and Dave Stew. The colors here are just perfect. The train, the volcano and the weird dude are in “harmony©”. Watercolors rock. the codebar is a shameful shame.
The walking dead #9 By Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard. Terrible cover by Tony More. I see this cover as a positive “when you see it”. In this case, when you see that it’s actually a zombie’s eye. Oh damn. Okay, being a perfectionnist you might say the protagonist doesn’t look like a reflection but more like if he’s standing in front of a giant-eye© and that the eye’s color is not right, but what the hell. It’s really goddamned impressive to my eyes (PUN) and the idea is original.

Red Skull Incarnate #1 by Greg Pak & Mirko Colak. Dat cover by David Aja. Holy christ! That’s an amazing cover! Some may be more technically wowing but David Aja got that special skill to make you want to read the book. He really did a great job creating something looking like nazi propaganda without even putting a swastika. Also, the dude is kinda scary until you realise he looks like Michael Jackson in thriller.
