Preacher #9 By Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. Cover by Glenn Fabry. Okay, I did say i’d post recent stuff only. Fuck y’all, this is too awesome to ignore! also, you’re here for cool covers, ain’t you? Good. Now sit and listen^^ OH GOD THIS IS SCARY is probably the first thing you thought seeing this cover, and it’s legit; preacher can be outright scary for some. Anyways, art’s precise goal is to get an emotion out of you. This cover should’ve done the trick. Looks like the guy applied an old-family-portrait look to the cover wich makes it even more a lot scarier (sic) because it’s closer to reality. In fact, the whole cover is designed to look as “natural” as possible: a cross on the wall, a normal old dude’s photography on said wall etcetera. But the more you get to the center of the drawing the scarier it gets! in the middle they sticked a grandma-from-hell© (literally) wich managed to make me ignore a disfigured child for a while! Good grandma! Oh wait she’s totally scaring the shit outta that right child!
