REBEL BLOOD #1 By Alex Link and Riley Rossmo. In the age of CGI it’s really fun to see a painted cover, A’specially a good one like this one. Plus, the dude on the cover is cool and creepy© . Nice texture, too.
Daredevil #15 by MARK WAID and CHRIS SAMNEE. Cover by PAOLO RIVERA. This cover has exactly the same palette than the one in my previous post. coincidence. Anyways, this one is way more intense, with a blindman stuck in barbed wire. How the hell will he get out? I hope it’s not a deus ex machina. Deus ex machina suxs.
Dancer #1 by Nathan Edmondson and Nic Klein. I love chroma-thematic© covers, like this series has. I also like this particular tone of blue, a little faded-out. Also, the concept is nice. Guess I’ll have to read it to understand, ‘do! Is the white supposed to look like a chalk outline?
All-Star Western #9 by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, Moritat Patrick and Scherberger. W00t for the minimalist monochromatic thingy, it’s cool. Too bad the knives in her hand are less detailed then the ones she throws.

Hit-Girl #1 By Mark Millar n’ John Romita Jr. Alternative cover by Phil Noto. W00t for the Game of thrones reference. It’s been integrated quite perfectly in the cover ‘cause it melts in it; it comes naturally to the eye; it’s not oppressive. Hit Girl looks old on the cover, but too bad. Still real awesome. I’m a fan of gory heroes. Props for not outlining the blood, as J.r. Jr. does. To be critical, the lightning on Hit-Girl is not fitting the light source. Nothing dramatic.
Green Wake #2 by Kurtis J. Wiebe and Riley Rossmo. (Cover by the latter) Yet another example of really good design! That series have been using a lot of vertical imagery throughout the 10 books. Check it by yourself! That one’s maybe my favourite one ‘cause that face mystifies me. Seriously, look at the expression dude! There’s mixed up shit going on inside that head and you won’t know what until you flip the cover! 0h, there’s also a frog. and a hand. and blood, drowning you further in speculations.
